Transformation of the work of the infrastructure and logistics complex of international combined transport within the framework of digitalization
Abstract
Digitalization of logistics is rapidly transforming the infrastructure and logistics complex for the transportation of combined cargoes in international traffic. This article examines what exactly is the impact of digitalization on the infrastructure and logistics complex and what potential its future transformation has. The introduction of digital services such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, driverless vehicles, automated warehouse systems, big data and blockchain technology into logistics can significantly increase efficiency, reduce costs and increase transparency of the supply chain. The article provides a calculation of the effectiveness of the introduction of digital services into the complex of transportation of combined cargoes to illustrate the potential advantages. However, the introduction of digital services into logistics requires significant investments, new skills and changes in traditional business models. The article concludes with a discussion of the problems and opportunities of logistics companies in adapting to digitalization and transforming their activities to meet future needs for the organization of international transportation of combined cargoes.
