Application of automation systems in the concept of seamless logistics

Abstract

The modern world is constantly improving – ideas that seemed unrealistic a few years ago have become real today. The development of technologies and the integration of automation systems into the logistics process provides not only new opportunities, but also causes the need for maintenance and provision of cargo transportation. Since logistics concerns processes related to the production, transportation and redistribution of material and technical means, the logistics process should be considered as a mechanism for planning and implementing the movement and maintenance of resources. Logistics depends on the ability to perform logistical tasks at a high level and, the higher the level of organization and conduct of logistics operations, the more competitive Russian business is, the population is provided with food and goods, and the mechanism of the state is well coordinated. In this regard, a high level of logistics is a task of national importance, and the development of an automated system of logistics processes seems to be an extremely important and necessary task for the formation and organization of an effective logistics system. This article will consider the automation of logistics, substantiate the use of automation systems in the concept of seamless logistics, as well as identify problems in this area and suggest ways to improve.
