Abstract

This article analyzes the current state of education and research on the application of simulation modeling in the organization of railway systems in Vietnam. The study presents the stages of developing a simulation model for the operation of the Bien Hoa – Vung Tau railway section. Experiments and analyses were conducted to develop an optimal operational plan and assess the model’s effectiveness in research on railway system organization. Recommendations are also proposed for further development of the application of simulation modeling in the organization of railway systems in Vietnam.

Abstract

The article discusses the use of discrete-event simulation modeling to evaluate the effectiveness of measures aimed at optimizing the transport and logistics infrastructure of an enterprise. A discreteevent simulation model was developed in the AnyLogic environment, which allows modeling various scenarios for the operation of a warehouse complex. Optimization experiments were conducted with the model, and the results confirmed the feasibility of the proposed measures to improve the logistics activities of the enterprise.

Abstract

Transportation of perishable goods is characterized by a specific approach to the organization and implementation of the entire complex of processes related to transportation. Due to the fact that rail transport plays a special role in the domestic transport and logistics system, it seems relevant to focus on the study of the peculiarities of the organization of transportation of perishable goods by this type of transport. In this article, it is proposed to assess all the constituent aspects of the process of transporting perishable goods by rail, starting with a preliminary assessment of the supply and demand conditions of the markets of perishable products intended for transportation and ending with an analysis of measures related to the replacement of insulated vehicles during the active phase of the season of transportation of perishable products. The expediency of the highest priority number of electrified fitting platforms as part of a refrigerated container coupling is substantiated, a set of factors determining the optimal number of sockets for connection at container sites intended for processing refrigerated containers at railway stations is presented.

Abstract

The results of a study of the dynamics of changes in the fleet of freight wagons, the impact of fleet redundancy on the efficiency and operability of the work of the railway network are presented. The purpose, scope, basic principles and assumptions, frequency of calculations and provisions of the Methodology for assessing the capabilities of the railway infrastructure for the traffic of freight and empty freight wagons are presented. The capabilities and needs of the infrastructure are determined by a hybrid model complex combining the results of simulation calculations with a network streaming model. Algorithms for calculating the interdependencies of functional capacity and the permissible level of traffic capacity utilization of railway network elements are presented. The procedure for assessing the permissible sizes of train and carriage traffic has been defined, taking into account traffic capacity losses due to failures of technical means and technological violations, as well as taking into account tasks for the departure of trains delayed in progress and for the normalization of the working fleet of wagons.
