Abstract

logistics activities, like any other activity, entail costs, including both fixed costs in the form of rent of premises, wages, insurance contributions, etc., and variable costs, the amount of which depends on the performance indicators of the enterprise. In turn, performance indicators directly depend on a number of aspects, including the location of the distribution center relative to warehouses.

The article considers a comparison of the results of choosing the location of a distribution center using a multi-criteria analysis, in particular, the hierarchy analysis method, and with an assessment of the transport accessibility of a distribution center using isochron.

The comparison was carried out using the traveling salesman’s task in terms of finding the shortest distances according to the criteria of coverage of existing warehouses and the total distance traveled during the working day of the car driver.

Abstract

The article formalizes the process of movement of an elevator car for a particular case in a building with one elevator, which can be used to create algorithms for controlling a group of elevators for high-rise buildings. A mathematical model has been developed, and the results of calculations and simulation modeling of elevator car waiting time are presented. Probabilistic characteristics have been obtained to assess the degree of comfort of passenger service.

Abstract

Currently, the container transportation industry is undergoing active development due to the implementation of new technologies and modern information systems. These innovations allow for the optimization of supply chain management processes and the automation of transportation and logistics operations, which in turn enhances management efficiency. One of the crucial aspects in planning intermodal transportation is selecting the optimal route, as it directly impacts the cost and speed of cargo delivery. To address this challenge, it is essential to develop a tool that allows for a swift analysis of all transportation options, selection of the best route, and presentation of it to clients. The article discusses the existing machine learning methods used to optimize the route of vehicles. The main purpose of this article is to study the developed solutions for their further application in transport and logistics processes. The introduction of the studied tools will help participants in the transport and logistics market to effectively compare infrastructure opportunities with the emerging demand for transportation.
