Optimization of business processes in the distribution network through the use of modern technologies by trading companies to manage transport and logistics risks
Abstract
This article examines the optimization of business processes in a distribution network for the delivery of finished products from suppliers in an environment of risk and uncertainty, which significantly impacts the quality of logistics services. It also examines the classification of logistics risks, along with methods for their analysis and assessment for mitigation. The article highlights the key challenges facing trading companies in the finished product distribution network, including failure to fulfill contractual obligations, product defects, and insufficient information technology between counterparties, which leads to increased logistics costs and a decrease in the quality of logistics services. To address this issue, risk management methods are considered, including cargo insurance, the implementation of electronic document management, the use of transportation security technologies, and improved employee competence. The proposed modern technologies will minimize risks, enhance competitiveness and customer focus, and optimize transportation and logistics processes in the distribution network of trading companies.
